what the three dots doin?

It might be useful to see some status beyond three wiggling dots when I’m waiting for a response. Eg: is the request in a queue? is it throttled? is it sent but without any response yet? Is it in a retry loop? that sort of thing.

could be phrased as “hm, this seems slow, is it broken?” and wanting enough information to make sure I don’t just make things worse by clicking “retry” unnecessarily
