VScode as chat box

I often find myself editing code directly in the chat box (i.e. not pasting it). It would be cool if the chat box was an instance of VScode. That way, we could take advantage of a few features such as:
- duplicating a line
- wrapping highlighted text in quotes/parentheses (this one would be a god sent IMO)

- move lines up/down (with ALT + arrow)

These features could be implemented into the regular input box we have right now, but I think it would be much easier to just drop-in replace the chat box with a vscode window that already has those functionalities.

I think the features I mentioned should be available, by default, in all text editors, even notepad. But especially an AI chat tailored towards developers.
