ui: Don't ask for confirmation when deleting chat messages
(Maybe just me but) Most of the time when I delete a message I would just prefer it to be gone on click it feels a lot better that way.
To still prevent accidental deletions you could add a sonner or something with a ‘cancel’ button.

The SHIFT tip is great, but seems very undiscoverable. Also, it seems like just hitting ENTER should accept the confirmation dialog, but instead it cancels it. If ENTER would accept it and I didn’t have to move my mouse pointer physically to the OK box then even without the SHIFT trick, it would be possible to very quickly delete many chats

You can also go to settings > history and select multiple conversations and delete from there.

As mentioned by another comment, Shift+click the delete button to skip the confirmation modal.

Yes, +1 for this. I like the way, the Hetzner Console is implementing this. They tell you in the delete dialog.
You could have avoided this dialog by pressing Shift when clicking on Delete
This would solve the issues about discoverability mentioned in other messages.
