Tell the AI when it's running on a different model
We have the ability to switch models each prompt, but the AI is not aware of that. It thinks whatever model it is currently, is the model that has been used throughout the chat
Can T3 chat automatically insert prompts that inform the AI about what prompts were used previously?

I agree with this. It would certainly help the model understand any context regarding the user switching, and prevent any hallucinations that may result from it possibly getting confused by it’s own responses in the chat’s full context.
When I try to address this with the model, I get, “Let me clarify my earlier response stating that I am Haiku 5.5, that was wrong. I have been using Opus 5.5. I’m sorry for going back and forth on that note.”

Why are there messages in conversation history where the model is stating it’s name? That should not be relevant information in nearly any case and is the cause of that issue more than the models not knowing that they are being switched. The models do not know what they are outside of being told

Well, I had told the model that I was switching it, and then later it mentioned the change of it’s own accord in order to make a correction. I’m not at my PC rn but I can give you more specific quotes later if you’d like.
