I’ve been noticing my deleted threads keep reappearing.

I have my main PC and I leave t3 chat open in a tab all the time. I sleep the computer and don’t restart it that much.

I use a laptop for work during the day with t3 there, and I often create/delete threads.

If I wake up my PC at the end of the day it usually has the threads from yesterday. If I refresh the tab it has, a couple of times now, brought back all the threads from a week ago.

    This happens if you switch between sessions (different browser, different device).

    Was wrong, can’t find my convo on chrome either. But chrome and safari have different history on my Mac which isn’t great

    Really need to fix this. It is painful having to delete threads on each device, or even worst, having to delete all thread again when logging into a new device/session

    I deleted a thread that was still receiving answers from Claude, and it reappeared after some time on the same device.

    The sync issues are a real problem like I know this morning I asked something about apple’s software guidelines but I couldn’t use my laptop and had to use the on mobile the chats were not there only the greetings were there like when you first login.

    I often have several concurrent threads trying the same prompts with different models, which means they end up with the same (or very similar) titles, with the intention of deleting most of them and keeping the most promising. With the deleted threads constantly reappearing, it is becoming frustrating to find “the good ones”.

    I have a very similar setup to the Origional Poster and have the exact issues they have descriped. It is not something that gets in the way of my productivity and I still love using t3.chat but it is an annoyance.

    I know these sync issues are a hard problem to solve, but I think to live up to the claim of the best AI chat app ever made then deleting chats has to actually work.

    kinda the same here. the sync isn’t working between two computers i have, but between one of them and my phone it is working. don’t get why. It’s pretty annoying

    I don’t know why this is still an issue. It's just basic features that even a toy project could do easily

      Theo has some lengthy videos explaining the problems on his YouTube so I sympathise with why it’s a problem. I think their planning on moving the sync layer to Convex so probably won’t get fixed until then. I thought I’d post anyway in case we get lucky.

      From the videos Theo has made it does not seem like their sync layer is a trivial problem to solve.
