submitting image is deforming aspect ratio.

when i want to upload image that have widescreen ratio it automatically deforms aspect ratio of that image to square and then generation of image is disrupted, or working with that image is impossible, can you help me? i tried safari, firefox and chrome, same issue everywhere.
