Sub-threads
I’m often getting instructions on how to do something and want to keep the conversation as clean as possible, but need clarification about certain steps along the way. It would be awesome to be able to ask a question about a particular piece of a response without having to clutter the main thread or start an entirely new one.
For example, you might select a chunk of text from a response and create a thread from there, kind of similar to Slack threads. It would keep the context from the main thread but place emphasis on the selected text for the new thread.
I think this would be different from Projects since it could happen in any chat and not require any setup.

I came here to request this feature as well.
I would also love the concept of Threads, I don’t want followups to cluster the conversation.
in fact I want to be able to minimise some responses so I can read previous responses or be able to jump between responses in the same chat.
I know this is complex to visualize haha but I trust the team, you guys are amazing 😃😎

I agree I think this feature would be super useful for me, I often ask for step-by-step or tutorials and it gives me a nice clean tasks but sometimes I want to ask follow ups about a certain step once I get there without cluttering the main thread or having to get the model to repeat itself when it then gives me the remaining steps.
Black Stream
This is a big feature that I would use daily. Cluttering my “main thread” is currently the least ergonomic part of my ai chat workflows. Starting completely new threads even if under the same “project” folder just doesn’t have quite the same UX as I want from a feature like this.

While I like UIs of the above projects, I think that they are a bit over the top for what I would find most useful. What I imagine would be a slack like experience where replies can be “infinitely” nested to other replies. I could see paying more or less depending on a depth limit.
