Email sign in would be great so that I could sign in to my work pc without exposing my gmail.

While google sign in is convenient it causes me more headaches than necessary when moving between environments where I use a different google account, which I do frequently. A simple username / password and being able to link other social accounts is kinda the baseline I would expect.

I’m now forced to use an “old” gmail/google account, for which I don’t use the email-part except for “forward-it-to-my-real-address” (own domain, with email-handling by Fastmail) & Google-sign-in forcing websites/apps… like this one.

This is also a huge concern for privacy-aware users. Using Google SSO is always undesirable for us (giving Google the control and data about our auth). But having to use Google SSO means I can only use t3.chat in a browser profile where I’m logged into a google account. This is quite inconvenient.

Some browsers now offer a "tab containers" feature, which allows you to be logged in while avoiding the inconvenience of opening a new window due to a profile switch

Agree. same here, Google accounts cannot be used on my work laptop but I would like to be able to use t3 on that device. If not email, then maybe a magic link like Claude does. That would allow me to copy pasta the link into my work environment then complete the login there.

I literally had to make a google account just to use t3 chat. Some of us would really rather not have to have google accounts.

Google just denied my login with “your browser is unsafe”. It worked on 2nd try. I only have this Google account for t3.chat and I want to delete it asap.
Btw: If Google bans my account, how can I cancel / transfer my t3.chat account?
