Search keeps failing
I have had the google search fail for multiple days now.
I used Gemini 3.1 Flash Lite and when it searches it says:
Search failed
Search received invalid inputs.
So yeah, just wanted to bring it to your attention.

This can sometimes happen when models fail to correctly use the tool. It is becoming less common as models get smarter, but still comes up sometimes. We try to repair the calls to the best of our ability, but sometimes they’re just a bit too malformed. I’ll see if there is anything we can tweak to avoid the specific case your chat seems to have encountered.

I just tried a number of times and could not get it to reproduce with that model, but it could depend on the specific context and prompt as well, unfortunately these models are a bit of black box when it comes to this stuff.
Maybe try another Gemini model, or other model in general to see if it is any better for your specific prompts?

Language shouldn’t make much difference here, the biggest thing will likely be how “broad” the prompts are, and how much context the model is receiving. It is generally best to try to provide the minimal possible context, and the maximally specific prompt for the task you are trying to accomplish in order to get the best results.
I also would recommend trying out some other models, as Gemini Pro can be particularly finicky and is costly, which is particularly unfortunate when it provides sub-par results for any number of reasons.
