This is the main thing that keeps me using ChatGPT/OpenAI. I like to open the ChatGPT app on my phone, put it in voice mode, throw my phone in my pocket, then ping pong ideas or ask questions about topics while I take a walk.

I swear this is the MAIN reason why I still use chatGPT even if I’m paying T3 Chat and I’m on free tier of ChatGPT, the voice transcription of openai is soo good, nothing in the world comes close to it, not to my knowledge. And them having a mobile app is also another reason.

I love this feature. I’d love to see it in t3.chat. ❤️

I did something similar a bit ago. Livekit or Pipecat for voice seems really good, they have SDKs for Next.js and React, and it’s pretty easy to setup.
Crimson Toaster
ChatGPT themselves are using LiveKit, so a good shout!
Lavender Glacier
With memory would be great!
Salmon Whistle
The main feature holding me back from switching from ChatGPT
I guess the main hurdle would be deciding a pricing model for it since it's quite more expensive. I personally like that the limits are in messages, not in tokens. Perhaps voice messages?
Bronze Coast
Nice to have. Would be able to switch 100%
Bronze Lunchbox
This is crucial. It is the ONLY thing that makes me wanna go back to ChatGPT, even paying 3 times more.
Salmon Jaguar
problem is that is extremely pricey, maybe if they had another pro tier with more expensive things like this that could be cool
Rose Beaver
To be honest, this feature along with deep research could justify a premium tier for like 10$ a month. It will be a good fit for that less tech-savvy audience that t3.chat might face in the future, after the release of a mobile version.

Gemini also provides an api for this.
