Pasted Text not in correct position / not taken into account

I have a prompt, then paste a large portion of text after “THEN ALSO:”, but the model (in this case GPT-5.1 reasoning) reasons that I did not finish after “THEN ALSO:”. It seems to

be a formatting issue - it would be nice as well if you could type a prompt, then paste text 1, then continue typing the prompt, then paste text 2, etc (essentially maintaining the order of pasted text within the larger text)
