Messages are lost after clearing history until page is refreshed

This is what my habit is. Usually after a day or two, I will clear the history and type a long prompt with a lot of thinking, and I hit enter and that is lost. Then I will remember about this bug and do a refresh and type out the semi-remembered prompt again. lol. Please fix this.
