LLMs are unable to write Typst

Typst is a new typesetting language. I assume that your system prompt says something about LaTeX/MathJAX because the models give me LaTeX math equations inside my Typst document which is syntactically wrong, and it won’t compile.

I saw GPT-5 mini in its thinking and was conflicted about that. It said that the system prompt wanted LaTeX syntax for math while I told it that LaTeX syntax is absolutely forbidden. Is this in the T3 Chat system prompt, or is this coming from OpenAI?

Can you do something about this?
