Kimi K2 bold markdown formatting ‘ **’ and ‘** ‘

In messages, Kimi K2 sometimes puts a space before or after something it wants to bold.

Like, space after a period ‘. **’

or space before a word in a sentence ‘** emphasis**’

The app doesn’t bold those things, so the ** ** is left there.

Also, I saw a similar issue while writing this, titled “Formatting Issue in chat response”

But it was closed, so I didn’t find it in the search. But… I think this could still be changed to accept these specific cases of model-attempted bolding. I haven’t tested the cases myself yet, but it seems maybe doable without messing too much up?

I also can’t submit posts on iPad OS.

    But… nested bolds are kinda weird.

    Indeed, actually, it seems to have proper spaces before and after its bold attempts, but sometimes just adds spaces inside (leading/trailing the actual content) which are just… redundant. I haven’t seen a case yet where a leading/trailing space was actually it completely messing it up.

    Yeah I think just doing a repair/normalization pass to trim the leading or trailing whitespace could be good without being too messy. It’s just on random regular text, not code, strictly delimited by already usually properly set opening and closing ‘**.’ That would fix a lot.
