Input content stays when pasting external content and hitting enter before content is uploaded

I've noticed that the input field doesn't clear after submitting a prompt, particularly when an image or lengthy content is uploading in the background. Ideally, upon successful submission, the input should reset, even if an upload was ongoing when I hit "submit."
