Grok 4 always fails to generate a response
When I submit a prompt to Grok 4, I always get the following error:
“Model failed to generate a response. You have not been charged for this request. Please try again.”
Submitting it again does not resolve it. This started a few days ago. Shortly after Grok 4 launch, it was initially working. Now it never works for me.

Must be a demand thing like you said, and maybe bad timing/luck on my part. It seems to be working well again in the past hour. I’m sure they are getting unusually high demand. Thanks for taking a look.

This seems like a failure in the Grok 4 API. It seems to have been struggling with capacity since shortly after launch, but I will see if there is anything we can do to improve feedback on our end.
I just tried a few (admittedly pretty basic) prompts and they seemed to work without issue, can you provide any insight into the type of requests you are making where you are running into this?

Oh, and other models work fine. Claude 4 works as expected.
