gestures / swiping
I'm always disappointed when using the mobile website installed as PWA that gestures don't work, especially swiping from left to right to open the side bar.
This would be a big QoL improvement when using the site on mobile!
Specifically, I'm looking for swiping from left to right while on a chat interface to open the sidebar so I can start a new chat or access the chat history.

Swipe Gesture to Control Chat Menu
On mobile, the PWA (progressive web app) works very well. My only complaint? I cannot swipe to open/close the menu for chat histories, search, etc.
This can be easily done by simply creating a new class/components, with
react-swipeable, enabling the alternating between open and closed states of the given the chat histories component. This would make it much more easy and intuitive to use on mobile, and would appreciate it greatly.

Swipe in the browser on mobile is used for history navigation, we do not want to override that.
We will have swipe gestures when there is a “real” mobile app.

I was referring to the mobile PWA, which is quite different than the desktop page. They can be isolated just fine.

Separate from mobile web?

As a WPA in particular. I only desire this function on mobile, for I have implemented this on my own software and it is far better than reaching up o the far left corner to open the menu. It still works with trackpad gestures just fine on desktop even in a narrow layout for going forward and backward as many browsers intend.
I have zero reason for this to function on desktop, and therefore should be disabled.

will look into it.

Other gestures I would add as would be swiping left and right on the chatbox to switch conversations, especially useful when juggling active chats, similarly to changing tabs on the mobile browsers
