Gemini 3 Pro Frequent "Message is empty" output

  • Issue: Gemini 3 Pro prompts frequently return “Message is empty” after successful thinking, searching, and thinking again.

  • Timeframe: Since about a month ago.

  • Frequency: I use T3 chat to send ~2-10 prompts a day, I almost always use Gemini 3 Pro. This issue occurs maybe 10-20% of the time.

  • Model: I have only seen this occur with Gemini 3 Pro. I can retry my prompts with Gemini 3 Flash, GPT 5.1/5.2 and get an output.

  • Device/Browser: I have seen this occur using Brave and Chrome on my Windows PC, and Using the T3 Chat PWA on my iPhone 16 Pro (iOS 26 - 26.2)

  • Other Details:

    • This happens whether I’m starting a new chat or following up on an existing one, and seems to occur at random times.

    • When it happens, it will usually continue happening if I retry the prompt immediately or within minuted. I can only resolve it by trying again hours later when it works fine again. Therefore, I don’t believe it’s an issue with my prompts/chat.

I’m not sure if this could be an issue on Google’s end or T3 Chat, but it has used up quite a few of my premium credits this month.
