Existing chats stop accepting prompts

I have multiple chats created in the past few hours. I type a prompt “say yes” on an existing chat, and click send. the prompt never shows up in the chat and I get no response. Details: I click the “up arrow” send button and it changes to a “stop” button for a few seconds. But the text never appears. And a response never shows up.

If I create a new chat, it works. If I open an old chat from last week then it works. In these cases, I can send a message and it responds.

For troubleshooting, I have:

  • Tried different browsers. Firefox and Chrome. Same results. LLM doesn’t respond and message I sent doesn’t appear.

  • Shift-refresh to clear cache. Same results. LLM doesn’t respond and message I sent doesn’t appear.

  • Created a new chat. That works. The LLM responds.

  • Tested on an old chat. That works. The LLM responds.

  • Tested on recent chats with a different LLM (Qwen qwq-32b and Gemini 2.0 flash). Same results. LLM doesn’t respond and message I sent doesn’t appear.

    Summarizing: There may be multiple bugs. Or this may all be part of the same problem. So I am leaving this as a single bug report and providing a summary for you here that includes some activity information that might hint at the problem… Sorry if some of the details are random.

    1. Have created 5 chats tonight with Gemini, Qwen, and o3-mini. Some chats were quite long… lasting a couple of hours.

    2. I have renamed some of the chats

    3. I was using firefox exclusively. I tested in Chrome after I noticed some problems.

    4. I was using firefox on my android phone this morning.

    Problem occurred where I would submit messages but nothing would happen. The text wouldn’t show up. The send button changed and it looked like it was sending something and waited for the response. But the UI never updated.

    Once I logged out and back in, I could send a message. BUT the “say yes” messages did not appear in the chats.

    Problems:

    1. UI stopped accepting messages on chats created in the past few hours

    2. UI allowed messages on old chats

    3. Opening T3 on another browser resulted in recent chats not being visible

    4. Logging out and back in caused the chats to appear

    5. Logging out and back in did not resolve the chats not accepting new prompts. Though I can create a new chat.

    UPDATE: Wow… very interesting bug. So… I logged back in and some of my chats were missing. I thought my chats didn’t get saved. BUT, I had the chat URL for one of the missing chats. When I went to that URL, all the chats showed back up.

    I logged out and back in and back in to see if I would lose the chats again. But they are all there.

    UPDATE: I did another test… I logged out and back in. I had renamed the new chats and I noticed that none of the renames were committed. And some of the new chats were missing. I tested one of the existing chats
