Edited Message Disappears When Focus Lost

Description:
When editing a message, if I switch to another browser tab and return, the edits are lost as if I never clicked the “Edit” button. This issue occurs in Chrome; unsure if it happens in Firefox.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Click the “Edit” button on any message.

2. Start editing the message.

3. Switch to another browser tab.

4. Return to the original tab.

Expected Behavior:
Edits should remain intact when switching back to the original tab.

Actual Behavior:
The edit mode exits, and any unsaved changes are lost.
