It works but only when dragging and dropping into the input field, It would be much easier if I can just drag onto the chat anywhere, not only into the input field

You can drop it anywhere on the page? What OS and browser are you using?

I’m using macOS and I’m using safari and I created a web app, I see now it only happens in the web app.

Just noticed copilot shows me a yellow box with the caution triangle on the left with “Pasted Image X” that tells me the model doesn't support that filetype if I mouseover, and has me click the X to close it. I don't know that it needs to be persistent like that, but that's for reference since it was on my mind.

I would prefer a responsive icon when in the allowed drag-drop region. Perhaps a small visual indicator near the chat window but doesn’t need to be fancy. If I’m trying to upload an unsupported MIME the desired functionality would be some indication that it’s not supported, rather than my browser opening a new tab. If I have an image or document in my clipboard that would be a nice to have to paste directly as well, but the slick UI is more important in my opinion.
