Copy and Forward Prompt

Feature Request

Copy the current prompt and place it in the new prompt entry box. There are two use cases for this:

  1. compare the same prompt using different models.

  2. based on the returned message, tweak the prompt to improve the results.

I do this a number of times per day.

    The “compare the same prompt using different models” is a really useful use case that I’m hoping for an easy way to get.

    Right now: I do something similar, then end up manually renaming the chats to something like:

    • GPT-4.1 - “What is …”

    • o4-mini-high - “What is …”

    • Gemini Pro - “What is…”

    • (and sometimes delete or clean up the threads I don’t like as much")

      Maybe:

    • a multi-pane setting: spin up the same prompt on three different models

    • or start a “prompt group” where the same starting prompt is grouped in the left side chat history?

    One of the things that I like about t3 is that it is a single interface that makes it easy to try out or switch models within a single chat. The workflow of “try an initial prompt out across a few different models” is a bit of a pain point at the moment though.
