Feature Request

I would love to have better control over the contents of the context for a thread. In priority order:

A currently used / remaining indicator (10,531 tokens of 128,000 used) with warning indication when it’s too full (eg. green → yellow → orange → pink → red).

Summarize thread. Let me replace the thread with a summary of the thread so far.

Let me manually add key points that I want in the thread.

Let me manually delete elements of the context.

Let me re-order the context window.

    With the current cost-based usage limits, this would be really helpfull!

    I have some long discussions with searches, pdfs, etc. Currently I have to ask for a summary, start a new chat etc. It would be really gread if there was a simple command to do this auoamticcaly with a good summarization prompt

    Checking in on this, is there a rough ETA for when we might see progress on these features?

    Having the ability to manually summarize/compact threads would be a massive workflow improvement. Really looking forward to this one!

    I also want toe option to Compact. Good compaction is very good feature, I miss it here especially for Anthropic models where context is cut down.

    It would be cool, if we could write “!compress” or “/compress” like in Claude Code to save tokens, but stay in the same conversation
