'Comment' styled branches for highlighted section

Branching is useful, but duplicates the chat history into a new chat session. This means I’ve now to switch back to the main chat and entire new threads are created in the left UI panel for what was just a drill-down of a given part of the chat.

What if we could just highlight a section of the current conversation and branch-off into a comment post-it right beside it, just like when collaborating in GDocs. This way, we would stay in the same chat and have less back-and-forth when doing a drill-down of a given section before continuing in the main chat. It also has the benefit of not cluttering the threads started in the left pane of the UI, since they’re all grouped in the same topic now.
