

Right now we use a solid globe icon and colors to show whether search is active or not. But for color-blind users it’s hard to tell the difference. Could we tweak the icon or add another cue to make the state clearer?
Here are a few ideas:
• Switch between an outline globe (inactive) and a filled globe (active).
• Overlay a small badge—like a dot or checkmark—on the globe when it’s active.
• Add a short text label (“On”/“Off”) or adjust the placeholder text (“Search active…” vs. “Search…”).
• Use non-color cues: thicker border or contrasting background for the active state.
