I simply cannot do product design / UI work with t3 chat - like I can with Claude.
I second this - and I came here to post just this as well. Glad to see it already mentioned. This is my only request and the only reason why I dont fully use t3 chat. I like to see a preview window on the right hand side, like Claude, PURELY because I like to ask it for UI feedback and suggestions, and like to spitball ideas about product design with Claude, and the fact it can show me what the design could look like so I can iterate on it right there and then, ‘ahh tweak the header a bit, alter the sidebar’ is a game changer for me and something I cannot currently do with t3 chat.
Because of this - I cannot iterate. I simply cannot do product design / UI work with t3 chat - like I can with Claude.

I think Claude does a lot of things correctly in terms of UX. The artifacts shown on the side (with different scrolling behavior than the normal chat) allow the auto-scroll to feel less janky and allow me to read the text as it is being written. The versioning allows me to see that new artifacts are edits of previous versions and makes it more readable at a glance (maybe you can take this further and show diffs…). I also really like how Claude shows previews and even makes diagrams to explain points visually. There is a reason why it is the industry leader and it’s not only because of the model, it’s because of the UX of the chat (Even though the speed and UI can use some work).

I also feel that way and i wanted to even ask for that exact thing since it’s so much more useful to have a stylized and little box that open when being clicked on that then open the full code, if the T3 devs see this suggestion which I really hope, could we also have the file versioning with the new style ? Just like Claude
I don’t know if it’s possible on every other model because Anthropic simply did another way of displaying the chat on their website or if its specific to Claude model and API themselves because it’s a model limitation but if it isn’t a model limitation would we be able to also see it on the other models whenever there is code ?
I edited the entire comment because i thought GPT was doing the same thing as Claude now with code but i went to look, and it doesn’t, weird i remember that it was at some point

I would like to have this feature not just for code but for regular text as well just like ChatGPT. Having the ability to generate a note on a topic, learning from it and making necessary edits to it is very helpful, especially if I want to copy the note into my notes app.

Will definitely move to T3 Chat once this feature drops. As of now I’m happy with my Gemini Advanced sub (they just added Canvas feature to their SOTA model)
Aqua Grove
Iuse this often for code and documentation

I would really much appreciate this feature. In my opinion Meta.ai (and Claude) do this really well.
You can work on documents together with an AI model. This means I can edit parts of the document by hand, select text in order to tell an AI model Whai ild like to change about it.

Canvas is very useful, except when I want to read the explanation text, and the canvas blocks me from reading the text while the code is still processing. If I click the exit button on the canvas it will force re-open on me until the code is done generating. Things are too fast for me to wait anymore.. heh 😅

Please add this feature! I stumbled across this video from Thio (not Theo) and was blown away. He shows how this can used for building quick, one-off utilities. This seems far more elegant than spinning up a new project in Cursor.
